Be Mine

Heart Sweater || The Rollin' J

Sequin Mint Skinnies || The Rollin' J

Cheetah Wedges || Southern Jewlz

This weekend we are welcoming the "love" month, February. It is a super busy month for be being that the first is my husband's birthday, our Santa Fe trip is this month, our 2nd wedding anniversary is the ninth, and I'm planning Pecos' second annual Valentines party the 13th. I would be lying if I told you I didn't like to be busy. I love to hustle and bustle about.

I wanted to bring ya'll a super cute Valentine outfit perfect for a casual date night or Valentines party. It comes mainly from my favorite The Rollin' J. This pink heart sweater is super light weight and soft. It is absolute heaven to wear and you can look great while enjoying it's comfort. You all know by now that I'm a sucker for anything sequin and mint is one of my favorite colors. I just couldn't pass them up, and currently they are on sale for 20 percent off. I topped the look off with my current faves from Southern Jewlz my cheetah wedges. When I received this in the mail Tuesday I wanted to test their comfort so I strapped on those bad boys and went grocery shopping. Surprisingly they are very comfortable, and I think I could totally survive a date night in them.

Next week I have a post planned on how to take the heart sweater and create a few different looks for this Valentines

Happy Weekend!!

XOXO,
Jordan

January Favorites

Hello beauties and happy Monday! I wanted to introduce ya'll to my three favorite purchases of this month. These are things that I use on the daily and simply couldn't live without. Choosing my top three this month was very difficult for me. I hope you enjoy these items as much I have this past month!

1} My Chi Chi clutch never gets too far from me on a daily basis. I love its multi color and funky pattern. It goes great with tons of my outfits. Somedays I find it hard to broaden my horizons when it comes to a new "grab and go" bag. This clutch is the perfect size for my card, cash, lip color, and phone. You can find this beauty at one of my faves The Rollin' J.

2} My Too Faced Melted Coral is my absolute new favorite lip color. I can apply it when I'm ready to finish off  my look and it last all day long. It doesn't leave that dry flakey stained lip look either. My lips look conditioned, soft, and beautifully coral. I highly recommend finding your perfect shade.

3} Sally Hansen's Miracle Gel is the perfect polish for the busy working lady or momma. There is no light needed to cure your mani. Just do two  coats of your color of choice and finish it with one coat of the Miracle Gel Top Coat. The first time I used it I didn't read the instructions { shocking right?? } and didn't know there was even a top coat. That manicure lasted a little over a week without chipping. I was pretty pleased. I'm on my second manicure with the top coat and it's going great. I'm about five days in, and not one chip. I use my hands a lot in water from doing dishes, bath time for the babes, and washing hair at work. Check this our to Find Your Perfect Match Quiz. I bought mine at Target.

Let's make it a great week! I have tons of new pieces and looks to share with you this week. Featuring pieces from Southern Jewel and Livin' The Dream Boutique. Also if you might be interested I have a few ad spaces left up for grabs. Visit my "Sponsor" page for prices and all details. Please feel free to email me at any time with questions or just want to have some girl talk. jordanhfinney@gmail.com

Vintage, Fur,& Sequins

Yellow Mount Shirt || Vintage Family

Sequin Pants || Livin The Dream Boutique

Fur Vest || The Rollin' J

Shoes || Old Navy

Necklace || Wal Mart

If you know me then you know that I love vintage anything!! In the 70s and 80s my family owned Yellow Mount. He was a very successful paint stud. He was an APHA Supreme Champion where he won at racing, halter, and western pleasure. They even made a Bryers horse out him. In 2012 when they celebrated the 50th anniversary of the APHA Yellow Mount and my grandparents, Stanley and Jodie Williamson were inducted into the Hall of Fame.

I love using this awesome piece of history to make a date night outfit or as a working getup. You can fancy up any of your favorite t shirts with sequins and fur.

Happy Friday Eve!!

Blogging Must Haves

As a new blogger I'm still learning about the whole blogging world. Each evening  I grab my favorite drink { tonight being a margarita}, my A Beautiful Mess planner, laptop, and iPhone. These are my top four things I must have before settling in for writing to you lovelies.

 Sunday nights are spent with my face buried in my planner sitting on the floor in my closet. I love piecing together a one of a kind look to share with ya'll. You will learn that I love being "thrifty" by using vintage finds and using articles of clothing more than once and creating a completely different look each time. I'm a firm believer in the fact that you don't have a spend a fortune to have a fun and stylish wardrobe. I'm a stay at home mom of a two year old and baby, so I'm always on a budget.

As far as my laptop I wanted something I could blog more efficiently. Until last week I did all of my blogging from my phone and used only IPhone quality pictures. I wanted a laptop that I could just stick my memory card in from my Canon camera and upload simple and quick. I feel like this alone has made my blogs better. Who doesn't love great visual aids? I didn't want to spend a ton of money right with one kiddo who is prone to spills and another who spit up on my laptop the first night I had it. That is the exact reason I didn't want to go fancy at this point in time. Mom life is sweet, but it sure can be messy at times.

My planner is my most favorite planner I have ever owned. I love the style of it  and that the spaces for each day are big. I am a girl and I do write large and curly. I would be totally lost without a planner. I write every move I make down, so I'm not constantly questioning myself what day I did what. All I have to do flip through the pages.  I strongly recommend them!

I can't wait to share with ya'll in the next couple of days the fun outfits I have put together. I'm also gearing up for our vacation in Santa Fe and will be sharing with ya'll what I can't leave town with and what will be making the trip with me. With Valentines coming up I have big plans for some super cute outfits that will fit any type of date.

As always, thank you for reading and happy Wednesday!!

Hello and welcome to Taco Tuesday! Who doesn't love a beginning of the week pick me up by having a fun relaxed outing with friends for tacos and margaritas. This outfit here is just the look for your Taco Tuesday!

The gorgeous weather we've been having here in Texas for the past week is utterly amazing and a fresh breath of air. I was so excited to be able to wear my "Taco and Tequila" tank from The Rollin' J Boutique. It is made of the most comfy t shirt material making it absolute heaven to wear. I paired them with my super cute new holy jeans I  scored at Target this week with their denim sale of buy one get one 50% off. If you haven't taken advantage of this you so should! They even have their cute overalls on the wrack. I really love making a simple outfit such as a tank and jeans a little more fancy with adding my absolutely timeless leopard heels. These shoes are near and dear to my heart as they were my wedding shoes. As you have learned by now I am a huge fan of splashing a little pattern mixing in my outfits. I added my favorite Crossed by Gypsy Soule beaded cuffs to my outfits. I have a two year old and 7 month old, so that being said I like to keep my jewelry to a minimum. That certainly doesn't mean that I don't love to wear tons. At this time in my life it's just not what works for me. I topped the look off with one of my favorite clutches. It's a bit larger than my normal clutch, but I think that is why I'm  always excited to use it. I love to get out of my comfort zone when it comes to my style. Which most people probably don't even think I have a comfort zone, fooled ya!!

Enjoy those tacos and margaritas with wonderful friends today, and get out there in that sunshine. We all know that Texas isn't kind enough to let it stick around too long. Next week we'll be back in our long johns breaking ice for the cattle!!

Boho Chic

Dress || Vintage Find

Faux Fur Vest || The Rollin' J

Turquoise Squash Blossom Earrings || Teskey's

Rosary || Vintage Find

When I pieced this outfit together all I could think of was Boho Chic!! I absolutely adore this amazing flowy dress. A friend's mother in law was cleaning her closet out and I called a quick dibs on it. One of my favorite places to go looking for great vintage clothing is Alley Cat Collectives. I don't always like to just wear what is in the stores right now. Leaving your own eclectic mark on your wardrobe is what having taste is all about. This has been branded into me by my sweet mother, the woman who gave me my style and looks!

This is the first of many times I'm sure I'll be sharing this wonderful faux fur vest with ya'll. I love it just for the simple fact that it can literally go with anything. With its gorgeous ivory color it flows with any color or pattern. It compliments this floral patter perfectly.

With Santa Fe coming up in less than  two weeks I've been making my packing list. I do believe this outfit could come in super handy for a night of cocktails with locals.

Happy Monday! I have a week full of great outfits for everyday life and even a beauty review. It's my first, so we together will see how we like them! Thank you so much for your continued reading. Please feel free to ask questions or want to talk to please contact me!

Happy Weekend

A big hello to all the new readers out there!! I hope you have enjoyed the week full of fun outfits and beauty. I know I have so much fun piecing each out fit together and getting creative and challenging my photography skills. Practice, practice, practice makes perfect!!

Yes, fashion is a huge passion of mine, but I wanted to introduce you to the largest passion:  MY FAMILY!! Cameron, my handsome husband, and I have been together for SIX years. We are celebrating our second wedding anniversary next month.

We live on and operate the family ranch, the Switch House Ranch. We run 1,000 head cow calf operation. We spend the winter month feeding everyday and have our annual branding in December. We have fall and spring calvers { which mean we have calves born in the fall and spring.} We ship in June for our big pay day. This isn't just a job to us, it is a way of life, a passion, and love of reaping what we've sewn. I feel so blessed to be able to work a long side my husband and bringing the kids along.

Our daughter Pecos Jane is two. She is a spit fire and a half. From those gorgeous big green eyes draped with the longest lashes to that little grin, she steals every heart she meets. All the men that come help work on the ranch are wrapped around her small finger. She loves going with her daddy to feed cows, help with the bottle calves, and ride the horses. She currently is begging every day for a pony. So, it's looking like Momma and Daddy will be on the market this spring for a good pony for our girl!!

Our son Taos Ray is seven months old this coming Monday. He is growing so quickly!! He is scooting around and FAST!!! We have been battling Constructive Airway Disease with him since September after a hospital visit. With that being said we took full advantage of the warm sunshine today to let Taos have his first ride.

Thank you so much for your loyal reading this week. I have so much planned for next week, and I can't wait to share with ya'll! Lots of cute outfits and even a fun winter cocktail recipe!!

Hope ya'll have a great weekend! See ya Monday for "Fur Frenzy."

xoxo,
