Cute Homegrown Gals Looks From Junk Gypsy

I'm always checking out The Junk Gypsy Company for inspiration in many aspects of life...fashion, home decor, and sometimes just plain inspiration. I love this look they have created! So much "homegrown gal" in such a sweet package!!

I can't help but adore the vintage floral hoodie adorned with nothing better than a MASON JAR that reads "Home Grown Round Top, TEXAS." Oh how I am such a Texas proud lady!! I love my roots and wanna show em to the world! I'm always a sucker for anything as I like to say "country vintage." Flowers are such a sweet girly touch for even the toughest of Texas women!

Oh and who doesn't love their favorite pair of ripped up blue jeans that have been through it all with us!! From their new days of parties to the ends days of feeding cattle and artsy projects! Bless my jeans' heart  they are used for everything in life from day one...even riding! I may be taking it a little extreme but hey when don't I, but jeans to me are like a story book of my life. I love to look at rips and say hey that was from the day I was feeding cows and got hung on the gate, or this paint drip was from a few years back painting my Mom's awesome beauty shop! What awesome memories blue jeans hold for me! And how awesome that we can rock our story book blue jeans for a cute stylish look!

No outfit is complete without your favorite boots!! A splash of turquoise and fringe always do an outfit some good! You know boots were made for walking and that just what us Texas ladies love to do!! Either just a quick trip to the grocery store or a night out on the town with my hubby I always love to keep the towns people on their feet...what does that girl have on now?!

To top the look off with small details I just love the leather anchor bracelet! I'm often a fan of leather cuffs, but some days call for a little more light weight bracelet.

Switch House Branding 2013

Last month the Switch House Ranch had our branding. It's my favorite time of year. I love when my husband comes home at night smelling like burnt hair...I'm serious!! It was 10 days of hot branding fire. We were so lucky to have an awesome photographer Peter Robbins come a few days and get some awesome shots!! So this blog is pretty much all pictures of the most favorite thing in life besides my family!!
Cowboys have always been my favorite!

40 Week Journey to Baby Finney #2:Week 16

Whoo hoo!! Hello week 16!! Only 4 weeks away from the half way point!! Makes me so super excited!!

This last week was a little bit a tough one as I battled a bladder infection and of course the lovely things that come along with it. Back pain, annoying urgency...more than usual, and just plain icky feeling!! But finally feeling better after a week of antibiotics! Also hello anxiety! Something I have never dealt with in my life. Big crowds and loud obnoxious people tend to make me feel like an elephant is siting on my chest and I'm about go Miranda on folks! But thankfully a little fresh air, sunshine, and quiet tend to settle me right down.

On the bright side I'm beginning to feel small flutters!! Can't believe I'm saying this, but I can't wait for some kicks!!

Had my 16 week check up today. Pecos and Marmie got to come with me! This was special to me, because it's the first time my mom has ever gotten to go to a prenatal visit with me. We heard little man's heartbeat which is strong and healthy. My stomach is measuring right on track, so happy happy is this Momma!  Now if I can patiently wait for week 20 to get here for my next sonogram to confirm healthy growing and that indeed I am growing a little boy in my belly!

Until next week!!

Crossed by Gypsy Soule:Shopping Guide

I feel like there's been lots of questions about how shopping with Crossed by Gypsy Soule works, so I've devised this little tid bit blog to hopefully help!!

Always wanted to be a designer? Now is your chance to sparkle! Show off your talents to your friends by customizing your own flip flops. It's easy! Plain, Semi-Embellished, or Blinged to the extreme ~ it's up to you!

Start with the shoe base you want to customize ~ Or keep it simple and order it just as you see it ~ no embellishments!

The hardest part? Waiting for it to be handmade in Texas and sent directly to your door! Whether you are looking for just the right shoe for an outfit or you just have a "shoe thing" Crossed by Gypsy Soule is for you! Where else can you embellish and design your own footwear?

Simple as that folks!! Please let me know of there are any other questions. Email me at jordanhfinney@gmail.com

40 Week Journey to Baby Finney #2 : Week 15

At week 15 of our second pregnancy, I've decided to keep a little bit of what I suppose I could call a "pregnancy journal." After having Pecos Jane, our daughter, Pinterest opened my eyes to all the neat ways to keep memories of your pregnancy. So I'm gonna give it a whirl this time around!!
I was 15 weeks this last Thursday. Wow, this one is flying!! At week 12 at my sonogram I was told by the doctor if she was betting she would place her money on a BOY!! I could see the parts...they were all there!!
This week has been a good one!! Only complaint I have is the ligiments stretching...I sure don't remember "growing pains" this painful with Pecos. Thankfully I never was sick!!
I pray everyday for this little boy growing inside me. What a blessing?! I thank God that He has given me the opportunity to mother another sweet child of His. I'm also very thankful that I have a wonderful man by my side that they call daddy.
Until next week!! Hope I don't bore y'all with my silly pregnancy excitement!!

What makes me ME!!

My name is Jordan Finney. I first and foremost am a Christian, wife, mother, daughter, friend, hairdresser, & am Independent Soule Sista at Crossed by Gypsy Soule. I have a huge love for hair, fashion,& the cowboy way of life!
I was born and raised on the Switch House Ranch in Archer County. I went to college at Weatherford College where I met the love of my life, Cameron, and completed hair school and an associates degree. After I attended the University of North Texas fashion design program. I didn't quite get finished before we found out we were expecting Miss Pecos Jane!!  We lived in Decatur where my husband day worked all over. It was hard having a new baby without family close by and Cameron being gone all the time. I made it through thankfully by the grace of God!! In September we were blessed to move back to the family ranch. My husband is currently working for my uncle taking care of his cattle and helping my dad out. I'm so thankful to be surrounded by family and I'm able to work again doing hair in my mom's hair shop, Toots Beauty Shop. We found out at the end of October that we are expecting baby #2, and we couldn't be any more excited!! They're telling us it's looking like we get to have a BoY!!
God has blessed us tremendously and we are so excited to see what this new year has to offer us!!
